Viewing art is a ritual for making ourselves open, and my photography explores that. Making a photograph is viewing as action. My participation is a gesture that shapes access.

   

    Daniel Georges has worked in photography in Newburgh NY and Brooklyn NY, since 2016. He has shown his photography in Watsonville CA (two person exhibition 2023) and had a portfolio of his Lot Line series in the May 2024 issue of "december" literary magazine. He is active with the Fix photo collective in the Mid-Hudson valley and with the Center for Photography in Woodstock. He has shown sculpture at Artist Space, NYC; MIT List Center, Boston; PS 1, Queens NY; and at PSU gallery, Portland OR where he was a teaching associate. Organized shows for Franklin Furnace, NYC and an international traveling exhibit originating at Museum of Arts and Crafts, Itami, Japan that traveled to 6 countries. He received an MFA in sculpture from School of Visual Arts, NYC and studied photography at International Center of Photography also in NYC.
